• In the Santa Fe Municipal Watershed approximately 3 miles northeast of McClure Reservoir and 2 miles east of Hyde Memorial State Park within the Pecos Wilderness portion of the Watershed
Start Date: Smoke was first reported at 12:21 p.m. on June 23, 2016, by the Barillas Lookout Tower on the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District
Size: 7.6 acres
Percent Contained: 100%
Cause: Lightning
Growth Potential: Low
Vegetation: Heavy fuels, dead and down timber, ponderosa pine
Update: The McClure Fire was declared 100% contained on Saturday, April 25, at approximately 3:00 p.m. The Hotshot crews and aircraft working the fire have been released. Fire staff from the Española Ranger District are monitoring the fire. This is the final update for the McClure Fire.
