Smokey Bear Ranger District Prescribed Fire Update

10/20/16 – 4:00 PM – Firefighters completed ignitions on the 8 acres that were targeted for prescribed fire treatment today in the Cedar Creek area, west of the Smokey Bear Ranger Station in Ruidoso.  Some smoke was visible during ignitions.  The area will be patrolled over the next few days.

10/20/16 – 1:00 PM – Ignitions are underway on the Cedar Creek piles near the Smokey Bear District Office in Ruidoso.  Smoke will be visible during ignitions.
