Update: Highway 116 Fire – Socorro County – 04/20/18 – 9:00 p.m.

This wildfire, burning one mile north of Bernardo, NM off of Highway 116 in northern Socorro County,  is now 75% contained. The fire is estimated at 30 to 35 acres and threatening 10 to 15 homes.  Highway 116 remains closed.  The fire began around 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (04/20) on private property.
