The Organ Fire is now estimated at 4,727 acres (194 acres state land) and 25% contained. The fire is burning on the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in Doña Ana County. Smoke will continue to be visible from the surrounding area, including Las Cruces and the Mesilla Valley. This fire started June 24, 2018 off of Highway 70 near San Augustine Pass, 10 miles northeast of Las Cruces.
