New Fire Start Location: North of Oak Flats and south of FR 242 along the boundary of USFS Sandia Ranger District of the Cibola National Forest.
Start Date: July 21, 2023 Approx. Start Time: 1600
Size: .10 acres
Cause: Lightning strike – single tree.
Resources: USFS Sandia RD Patrol 35, Payette Engine 431and BernCo Fire Department.
Safety: Due to the weather with the lightning and moisture, responding resources have disengaged and will re-engage in the morning.
