Bull Fire in the Latir Peak Wilderness

Carson National Forest fire crews are monitoring a wildfire upslope from the intersection of the Lake Fork and Bull Creek trails in the Latir Peak Wilderness and northeast of Cabresto Lake. The 0.10-acre Bull Fire was caused by lightning and is smoldering in surface fuels under spruce-fir. Rock scree and high moisture in surrounding vegetation are limiting its spread.

Crews will continue to monitor the fire until its called out. There are no associated closures in the area.
