SANTA FE, NM., Oct. 6, 2023 – Fire management personnel continue to monitor the Golondrino prescribed fire, which remains within the project area. All containment lines are holding with no visible smokes within approximately 200’ of lines. A few smokes are visible from Deadman Lookout due to some heavy fuels that continue to smolder. Those fuels are well within the interior of the fire perimeter. The burn will be patrolled over the weekend by a small crew with a UTV pumper.
Fire crews completed 1,630 acres of hazardous fuels reduction for this prescribed fire project.
