Fire Behavior: The Buck Fire is exhibiting moderate to high fire behavior associated with winds produced by passing thunderstorms.
Resources: Multiple resources have been assigned: Type 2 IA Crew and Type 6 engine.
Other resources are on order: Gila Task Force, dozer, 4-6 engines, and two Single Engine Air Tankers.
Strategy: Full Suppression.
Values at risk: At this time, the Buck Fire is threatening private residences approximately 1.5 miles Northwest and 1 mile east. Live electric transmission lines are in the near vicinity of the fire.
Safety: The health and safety of firefighters and the public are always the first priority. Members of the public should avoid the Buck Fire area.
Smoke may be visible from Highway 12 southeast of the community of Aragon, NM and southwest of Highway 60.
