
The Northern New Mexico Incident Management Team has officially taken over management responsibilities for the Middle Mesa Fire, which is being driven by extremely low fuel moistures and low relative humidity values.
The fire today pushed eastward, establishing in Tio Quinto Canyon and spotting into Devils Canyon. Fire crews this evening and tomorrow will be working by ground and air to keep the fire south of Forest Service Road 218A and north of Forest Service roads 218 and 218C.
