October 21, 2025 
Due to favorable burn conditions, the New Mexico State Land Office, Forest Stewards Guild, TNC, local fire departments, and other partners have begun ignitions on a broadcast prescribed fire south of Angel Fire, NM.
The collaborative team is returning low intensity surface fire on up to 300 acres of fire-adapted ponderosa pine and mixed conifer forest.
If conditions are favorable, ignitions will continue tomorrow.
