Ignitions Completed on Black Lake Prescribed Fire South of Angel Fire

The New Mexico State Land Office, Forest Stewards Guild, TNC, local fire departments, and other partners have completed ignitions on a broadcast prescribed fire south of Angel Fire, NM on state trust land. The burn team successfully treated 370 acres of fire-adapted ponderosa pine and mixed conifer forest. 

The burn team will continue monitoring local weather and local forecasts. Crews will patrol the burn unit to ensure containment.
