Wildfire Notification – 352 Fire (Quay County)

February 9, 2026 

Update: The 352 Fire was discovered at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 near I-40, mile marker 352, north of San Jon in Quay County. The fire is wind driven from the southwest and moving through grass and brush. Structures are threatened and smoke is visible from Interstate 40 and the surrounding areas. State Road 469 is closed north of San Jon. Local residents should take caution and avoid the area. Currently, the fire is estimated at 1,000 acres and is zero percent contained. The cause of the fire is under investigation.  

Evacuations / Closures: State Road 469 is closed north of San Jon. County and state officials are providing assistance with house-to-house notifications. 

Weather: Currently 76 degrees F, 9% RH, southwest winds at 20-25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Tonight, mostly cloudy with lows around 40 F. Southwest winds at 15-20 mph, coming from the north after midnight.
