Bernalillo County: Mandatory evacuations are from the junction of Anaya Rd and 337 southward to the Torrance county line including the communities of Chilili, Escabosa, Los Seis Hermanos Estates, Marianette Ranch Estates, Llano del Sol, Tierra de Los Suenos, Ponderosa Estates, Capital Estates, Yrisarri, and Ponderosa Pines.  Voluntary evacuations areas are two miles east of the mandatory evacuation sites.  For information about this evacuation call the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office at (505) 798-7000.  A lot of fire traffic is in this area and non-fire personnel should avoid it.

Torrance County:  Mandatory evacuations were completed from the Torrance County line south to state highway 55 and from state highway 337 to the west.  Road closures remain in effect for CR Ao 57/CR Ao 30, CR Ao 22/CR Ao 3, Hwy 55/Hwy 337, just east of Barelas Rd. and Hwy 55, CR Ao 15/CR Ao 18.  For information about these evacuations contact the Torrance County Sheriff’s Office at (505) 544-4727.

Evacuation centers are located in Estancia at the Torrance County Fairgrounds (for people, pets, and livestock), and in Tijeras at the Los Vecinos Community Center for people.

Damage Assessment: 24 single residences and 21 other minor structures destroyed. 

Fire behavior will be less active this morning than the past two days due to the lighter winds but will become more active during the afternoon.  Crews made good progress over night establishing and reinforcing hand lines and dozer lines.  Aircraft will continue to support ground crews with containment efforts and structure protection.

Weather: Winds will continue to lessen with some gusts expected this afternoon out of the West/Northwest.  Hot dry weather will continue through the weekend.
