UPDATE: Stateline Fire – Union County – 03/14 – 1:00 p.m.

The Stateline Fire burning in Union County, north of Clayton, New Mexico remains 50% contained. So far, 27,658 acres have burned, of which 16,898 acres is on state and private land in New Mexico, 10,750 acres in Colorado, and 10 acres in Oklahoma.  Significant fire activity continues on the western and eastern edges of the fire in New Mexico. No structures are threatened at this time. Firefighters continue to shore up containment lines on the ground with support from helicopters and air tankers dropping water and fire retardant from above.
