Containment: 100%

Status: Fire crews on the Lincoln National Forest, Sacramento Ranger District quickly responded to the Monument Fire.  They are in mop-up stages for the Monument Fire, which was called 100% contained at 2:28pm. This will be the first and final post for the Monument Fire unless there are significant changes.

As we move into the holiday weekend, we encourage forest visitors to enjoy their public lands and also to be aware the Sacramento Ranger District is under Stage II Fire Restrictions.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • No Campfires, charcoal, coal, wood stove
  • No Smoking except in vehicle or developed recreation Site or in an area at least three feet in diameter that is cleared of all flammable material
  • No Fireworks Ever In Your National Forests
  • No Discharging of firearm, air rifle or gas gun
  • No Operating Chainsaw or combustion engine form 10:00am to 09:00pm
  • No Welding or operating an acetylene torch with open flame
  • No Operating internal or external combustion engine without a spark arresting device
  • Possessing or using a motor vehicle off National Forest System roads except parking in area devoid of vegetation within 10 feet of the roadway
