Ute Park Fire – Colfax County – 05/31 – 4:40 p.m.

The Ute Park Fire, burning off of Highway 64 in Ute Park, NM, is currently estimated at 150 acres. The fire, located between Eagle Nest Lake and Cimarron in Colfax County, was initially reported just after 2 p.m. this afternoon (05/31).  Fuels include grass and piñon.  A large smoke plume can be seen from surrounding communities.  Multiple resources are working this fire from the ground and air.
