The Quebradas Fire burning near Escondida Lake in Socorro County is is now 100% contained and structures are no longer threatened. Some smoke may still be seen from the surrounding area as firefighters continue to mop up hot spots. Two outbuildings were lost in the 12-acre fire that began Monday (05/20) around 5:00 p.m. The cause is under investigation. This will be the last notification unless there are significant changes.
