Jurisdiction: Lincoln National Forest, Guadalupe Ranger District

Size: 1 Acre

Cause: Lightning

Date/Time Detected: Aug 9, 2019, 11:20 am

Location: 5 miles NW of Sitting Bull Falls near Rawhide Canyon.

Firefighting Resources: 1 Engine and additional fire personnel.

Fire Update: Crews are responding to a one-acre fire 5 miles northwest of Sitting Bull Falls on the Guadalupe Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest. Crews are assessing the fire to determine the best and safest course of action. The fire was caused by lightning from recent storms. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
