New Mexicans often burn fields, acequias or piles of debris. Some counties in NM have issued burn bans.  If allowed where you are, always get a burn permit and make sure you prepare the site, have enough water and people on hand, and never leave any fire unattended, even for a few minutes!   Watch this short video on safe burning with more tips.  #ReadyForWildfire #WildfirePreparednessWeek
