La Cienega Fire – Santa Fe County – 05/23/20

A new wildfire is threatening homes in the community of La Cienega, NM near I-25 in Santa Fe County. New Mexico State Police is conducting evacuations for an unknown number of residents at this time. The La Cienega Fire was first reported just before 4:30 this afternoon and has burned at least 3 acres of private and state land. Multiple resources are fighting this fire, including the Santa Fe County Fire Department, USDA Forest Service, and State Forestry. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
