The Trementina Canyon Fire located 6 miles north of Trementina, NM in San Miguel County is now 50% contained and remains estimated at 825 acres. Structures are not threatened at this time. Firefighters will continue to secure fire lines and mop-up hot spots. Interior heat may produce smoke, but this will moderate with cooling evening temperatures. Friday (07/17), firefighters will work on the west and north sides of the fire to tie in containment lines. More than 60 personnel remain on the fire.
