The Trementina Canyon Fire, located 6 miles north of Trementina, NM in San Miguel County, remains 50% contained and estimated at 825 acres. No structures are threatened. Today firefighters are engaged on the south and north ends of the fire. Fire activity is low with minimal smoke showing, but this may change with increasing temperatures and potentially gusty winds this afternoon. Crews will continue to hold and secure containment lines and mop-up hot spots.
