The fire is burning in very rugged, rocky terrain along the Continental Divide. No structures are threatened. Firefighters are working to fully suppress this fire on the ground and from the air. Resources include state and federal crews with the New Mexico Forestry Division, Bureau of Land Management, and USDA Forest Service. The fire was first reported just before 11:00 a.m. on May 24, 2021. The cause is under investigation.
