Prescribed Pile Burn Planned South of Tierra Amarilla – Friday, January 14

The All Hands All Lands Burn Team and a diverse group of collaborative partners plan to implement a low complexity pile burn on Friday, January 14, covering up to 8 acres on private land. It sits near the junction of Highway 64 and Highway 84. The team is fully qualified to lead and implement prescribed burns.

Prescribed burns are a safe and effective way to:

1. Reduce hazardous fuels before fire season and protect nearby communities from future wildfires.
2. Promote healthy forest function.
