Location: East of Oso Ridge, Zuni Mountains, Mt Taylor Ranger District, Cibola National Forest & National Grasslands (NF & NGs).
Containment: 100%
Strategy: Secured perimeter, extinguishing internal hot spots and monitoring.
Fuels: Ponderosa Pine and Grass.
Weather: Sunny with a high near 83. Breezy with a south wind 15 to 25 mph. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15-25 mph decreasing to 5-15 mph in the evening. Red Flag Warning in effect May 10th from 12 pm until 9 pm and May 11th from 11 am until 9 pm. https://www.weather.gov/.

Stage 2 Fire Restrictions: On April 28th based on high fire danger and severe fire weather conditions, the Cibola NF & NGs implemented Stage 2 Fire Restrictions on the mountain districts to include the Mt. Taylor Ranger District. Order 03-0724
