SANTA FE, NM – All Santa Fe County trails are open to the public effective June 24, 2022. This opening is due to the early onset of monsoonal weather patterns and the fact that Santa Fe National Forest has lifted fire restrictions for most of the 1.6-million-acre forest. Santa Fe County Fire Chief Jackie Lindsey reminds County residents and visitors to remain vigilant and protect our open spaces. “I want everyone to remember that open burning and fireworks are still prohibited. Please continue to take precautions to protect our community from fires. If you see something suspicious, please call 911. This is not the time to get complacent.”
