Smokey Bear Ranger District crew, along with other agencies, are responding to a wildfire in Kyle Harrison Canyon, along Highway 246 near mile-marker 22. The fire is located on Lincoln National Forest land, and is currently 5-10 acres in size. This is the first report, we will continue to update the public.
UPDATE (5/3/23 6:19 PM)
Smokey Bear Ranger District crew continues to secure the parameters of the fire – rainfall and aerial assistance have greatly helped. Currently, most of the affected area is smoldering, with a few small hot spots. More updates as they come in.

The Kyle Harrison has held through the night, Hotshots continue to contain edges and clean up. Currently preparing for higher winds today. Updated acreage for fire is 11.6.
