Cibola NF Postpones Durfee Bolander Prescribed Fire

Magdalena Ranger District

(Albuquerque, NM – April 4, 2026) Due to unfavorable conditions, the Cibola National Forest is postponing the previously planned prescribed fire on the Magdalena Ranger District’s Durfee Bolander units until further notice.

We remain committed to reducing hazardous fuels and will continue to look for future opportunities for prescribed fire on the Cibola National Forest & National Grasslands.
