Beehive Fire Evening Update

July 2, 2026

Containment has increased to 11% from 0% since the fire started, as cooler temperatures and recent precipitation have moderated fire behavior and allowed firefighters to secure and hold portions of the fire perimeter. Crews remain actively engaged each day, strengthening fire lines, conducting firing operations where needed, patrolling and securing the perimeter, and extinguishing remaining hotspots through mop-up operations. Updated mapping and infrared data have also refined the fire’s estimated size, increasing the acreage to 4,408 acres.

As firefighters continue this work, the public can help by preventing new wildfire starts over the Fourth of July weekend. Fireworks are illegal on National Forest System lands, and Stage 2 fire restrictions remain in effect. With warm, dry conditions persisting, even a small spark can ignite a wildfire. Please recreate responsibly, follow all restrictions and closures, properly extinguish campfires where permitted and leave fireworks to professional displays to help protect our communities, firefighters and public lands.
