Dog Head Fire Smoke may Impact Santa Fe and Surrounding Communities

Santa Fe, NM – June 15, 2016 – For Immediate Release.  You may see smoke in the air around Santa Fe over the next few weeks.  That smoke is likely from the 2,000 acre Dog Head Fire burning southeast of Albuquerque.  Smoke is currently drifting north/northeast towards Santa Fe.

Smoke-sensitive individuals and people with respiratory problems are encouraged to take precautionary measures. Information on air quality and protecting your health can be found online at the New Mexico Department of Health website at
