Carson National Forest – Potrero Fire – June 24, 2019 Final Update

Current Status: Firefighters will continue work to secure containment lines around the perimeter of the fire as needed.  The Potrero fire is 80% contained.

This will be the final update for the Potrero Fire from the Incident Management Team. The Potrero Fire will transition from the Type 3 Organization to a lower complexity Type 4 Organization tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m.  The Carson National Forest will provide additional information if significant activity occurs.

Advisories: Smoke may be visible from the communities of Abiquiu, Canjilon, Ojo Caliente, Cañon Plaza, Vallecitos, La Madera, El Rito, and Tres Piedras.  Smoke may continue to show for several days.
