2020-2021 Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant Program Application Period Open

New Mexico Counties has announced that applications for the Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant are now being accepted.  This program is offered by New Mexico Counties and funded by Bureau of Land Management New Mexico.  This grant program assists communities in New Mexico that are near BLM lands and would be affected by wildfire.  Approximately $260,000 are available this year for three funding categories:  Outreach and education projects, community wildfire protection plan updates, and hazardous fuel reduction.  Applications are due by 5pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.  Specifics and applications can be found on the NMC Programs page: https://www.nmcounties.org/services/programs/.
