Fire activity increased this afternoon (06/08) on the Farm Camp Fire located 5 miles west of Mosquero, NM in Harding County. Wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour are pushing the fire to the southwest where the containment line is currently holding. The fire is currently estimated at 12,000 acres and 30% contained. Evacuations remain in place for residents northwest of Mosquero. One unoccupied structure was lost in the fire yesterday (06/07). Firefighters will continue to mop-up hot spots and strengthen containment lines throughout the night. Firefighting aircraft are unable to fly due to high winds. Lightning started the fire on Saturday (06/06).
