The Peterson Fire located northwest of Las Vegas in San Miguel County is 70% contained. The fire remains estimated at 30 acres. Structures are no longer threatened and there are no evacuations. Today firefighters will continue to work toward full containment and mop up hot spots. The cause remains under investigation.
