Hilton Fire – Socorro County – Update 

The Hilton Fire is located near Escondida Lake. The fire is estimated at 187 acres and is 5% contained. Fuels include salt cedar, brush and grass. Multiple agencies are holding the lines, which have been successful through yesterday and today’s wind event. No current threats. Containment percentage will be increased by the end of today’s shift. Resources provided by Forestry Division, Midway, BLM, USFS, Socorro, Lanford, San Antonio, Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District.
