Size: 4,291
Containment: 0%
The Beehive Fire is now estimated at 4,291 acres. Cooler temperatures and recent precipitation continue to moderate fire behavior and have significantly reduced smoke production across the fire area. Additional moisture is expected this evening. Firefighters have taken advantage of these favorable conditions and continue to make steady progress.
Crews continue to construct fireline where needed and are patrolling and securing established lines to strengthen containment efforts.
Recent changes to the fire perimeter reflect updated mapping and infrared data from UAS (unmanned aircraft system) flights, as well as recently conducted firing operations, providing a more accurate picture of the fire’s size and perimeter. Smoke may still be visible within the fire perimeter as unburned vegetation and fuels continue to be consumed, even when there is little to no active fire growth.
This video shows light-to-moderate smoke at the western end of the fire at approximately 2 p.m. today. The fire’s acreage remains an estimate until updated mapping and infrared data from UAS flights are available.

Light smoke remains visible within the Beehive Fire perimeter at approximately 2 p.m. today as interior fuels continue to smolder and consume. Smoke may still be seen even when there is little to no active fire growth and does not necessarily indicate new fire activity.
