Beehive Fire Evening Update for July 4, 2026

Firefighters made continued progress today, significantly increasing containment to 43% and the fire remains at 4,728 acres. Crews remain actively engaged in securing and mopping up remaining hotspots along the fire’s edge, extinguishing lingering heat near containment lines to help ensure the fire remains within its established perimeter.

As suppression efforts wind down in some areas, some resources are being released as part of right-sizing the incident management organization, while remaining crews have begun initial suppression repair work. This includes assessing and repairing impacts from firefighting activities, such as restoring dozer lines, improving drainage and reducing impacts to natural resources where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

This will be the last evening update, as burning operations have been completed and there is no new fire growth or emerging activity.

As we celebrate the Fourth of July this evening, please do so safely and responsibly. If you are in or near wildland areas, be extremely cautious with any potential ignition sources, follow local fire restrictions, and ensure all campfires are completely extinguished before leaving them unattended.

A taste of home on the fire line. This evening, firefighters and support personnel working the Beehive Fire came together at the Incident Command Post to share a Fourth of July meal and a moment of camaraderie before continuing their work. We thank every member of the incident team for their service and commitment this Independence Day.
