The Logan Fire, on the Sacramento Ranger District, was reported yesterday (7/2/17) afternoon. The fire’s location: 3 miles west of Sacramento Lookout and 3 1/2 miles south of Sunspot. Upon initial size up of the fire, Forest Service firefighters determined that it was caused by lightning and several cabins, about 1/2 mile away, were identified as potential values at risk. Firefighters proceeded with a full suppression strategy on this fire and the fire was declared fully contained and controlled (OUT) this morning at 10:50 am. The final size of the Logan Fire was less than one-tenth of an acre.
This will be the FIRST and FINAL update, unless there is a significant change to report.
