Lincoln National Forest – 5/23/18- Sacramento Ranger District Fires

Cloudcroft, New Mexico. 5/23/2018: Two small fires less than a 1/10 acre each were detected on the Lincoln National Forest, Sacramento Ranger District over the past 24 hours. Resources responded immediately. Both fires are fully contained. This will be the first and last post for these fires.

Please note the Sacramento Ranger District and Smokey Bear Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest are in Stage II Fire Restrictions.

  • No campfires, charcoal, coal, wood stove
  • No smoking except in vehicle or developed recreation site or in an area at least three feet in diameter that is cleared of all flammable material
  • No fireworks Ever In Your National Forests
  • No discharging of firearm, air rifle or gas gun
  • No operating chainsaw or combustion engine form 10:00am to 9:00pm
  • No welding or operating an acetylene torch with open flame
  • No operating internal or external combustion engine without a spark arresting device
  • Possessing or using a motor vehicle off National Forest System roads except parking in area devoid of vegetation within 10 feet of the roadway
