FIRST AND FINAL FIRE UPDATE: 8/6/16 5:15 pm

Jurisdiction: Lincoln National Forest, Sacramento Ranger District

Date/Time Detected: 8/6/16 10:04 am

Location: Approximately 7 miles southwest of Weed, NM, on the ridge near Aqua Chiquita Canyon.

Lat/Long: 32 deg, 46 min, 12.07 sec X 105 deg, 37 min, 23.52 sec

Legal Description: T18S, R13E, Sec 4

Firefighting Resources: One FS engine, 5 personnel.

Values at Risk: None

Hazards: Snags

Size: One-tenth of an acre

Containment: 0%

Cause: Lightning

Status:  This fire was reported around mid-morning today. Forest Service firefighters responded to the fire, which they reported to be a single tree fire.  Firefighters proceeded with suppression tactics and full containment of the fire.
