The Tiffany Fire near San Marcial in Socorro County is now 40% contained. It’s estimated at 5,000 acres. Lightning started this fire on private land June 26. The Tiffany fire continues to burn through salt cedar which will produce thick, black smoke for several days.

The Tiffany Fire near San Marcial in Socorro County is estimated at 1,563 acres. The fire is 37% contained. The fire continues to burn through salt cedar which will continue to produce black smoke. The Tiffany Fire was sparked by lightning on private land at about 6:30 p.m June 26.
