Fire Update-First Report. 6/19/2019 at 6 pm: Crews are responding to the Pine Lodge Fire on the Smokey Bear Ranger District on the Lincoln National Forest. The fire is approximately 30 acres.
An Ecoservant trail crew was doing trail work on the Capitan Peak Trail. They were all safely evacuated. No injuries were reported. At this time, it has been reported that at least 1 structure and 1 vehicle have burned in the Pine Lodge Fire.
Multiple engines and fire personnel are on scene. Additional resources have been ordered. Powerlines have been turned off due to the proximity of the fire to ensure firefighter safety. There is a fire weather watch in effect until 9:00 pm tonight. Winds are coming out of the southwest at 20 to 25 mph. Humidity levels are 15%.
