The Golden Fire off of Highway 14 and State Road 344 in Santa Fe County is holding at 15 acres. Area roads are being reopened by law enforcement and residents will soon be able to return home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Encino Fire on the Westside of Rio Rancho is now 64% contained. The current acreage remains at 1,278. The New Mexico State Forestry Division is patrolling and monitoring this fire. The cause is still under investigation.
