Bosque Fire Burning West of La Joya

Approximately 200-250 acres have burned in a bosque fire located west of La Joya.  Named the LaJoya1 Fire, it began on Sunday afternoon (March 20, 2016).  State, federal, and local fire department resources are on site.  No structures have been threatened by the fire.  A Red Flag Warning for fire weather conditions has also been issued.
