New Fire Start – a 20-acre fire was reported Tuesday morning, May 16, at 3:30 a.m., in the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Las Cruces District.  The Ring Fire is located in the vicinity of Cox Ranch.  Bureau of Land Management, White Sands Missile Range, and Fort Bliss resources are on scene.

The Cameron Creek Prescribed Fire, east of Silver City, has been completed. Approximately 2000 acres were accomplished, removing hazardous fuels and improving wildlife habitat in the area.

Fire crews completed 900 acres on the Cameron Creek Prescribed Fire today. Will patrol the project Thurs. Closure order remains in effect for at least a few days. Dragonfly Loop is open.
